The 2008 Passion Play will be held on Saturday, March 15 in Franklin Park. In case of rain on the 15th, the performance will be moved to the following day, Palm Sunday, March 16. The Play starts at 3:00 PM.
Admission is free - no tickets required!
The Passion Play is performed each year on the Weekend before Easter (Palm Sunday Weekend) at Franklin Park, In Loudoun County Virginia. The Park is located on business route 7 between Purcellville and Round Hill.
From Downtown Purcellville, head west on Main Street. The park entrance will be on the left, after the golf course.
From Leesburg, head west on Rt. 7 to the Round Hill exit. Turn left at the foot of the exit ramp, and proceed about 3/4 mile to the park entrance on the right.
The Purcellville Passion Play is a joint project of the people of many of the churches in western Loudoun County, Virginia. The play tells the story of Jesus’ last few days on earth - the powerful story of Good Friday and Easter. The play is presented outdoors in a re-created city of Jerusalem, with actors and audience moving together from scene to scene.
The play will go on, rain or shine. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time for the walk from the parking areas to the performance area. Comfortable shoes are recommended for walking and in case the ground is damp.
